Using the BMW INPA Interface - What do You Really Need to Use Effectively?

The BMW INPA interface is one of the best accessories in the market today. BMWs rank among the finest vehicles in the market today. They are quite expensive and so if you buy one, you will make sure that you get the best accessories for it. The INPA interface is most definitely the one that you should be planning to get. It works for all BMWs that were manufactured between 1998 and 2013.

There are a variety of actions that you can perform with the BMW INPA interface they include:

•     Read and erase errors

•     Reprogramming

•     Coding

•     Adaptations

These are just some of the common functions of the interface. But there are many other procedures that you can perform using this cable.

When you are planning to run a diagnostic test on your car, you will require the BMW INPA interface USB. It allows you to do the testing on your laptop or just about any computer that you have in access. Normally, the USB cable is long enough to allow you to do your analysis from a distance- around five meters in length. The INPA/Ediabas USB interface requires you to have software installed on the computer that you will be using to run the diagnostic test. The software will do the diagnostics, all you have to do is run it.

When you buy the BMW INPA diagnostic test line it will usually come with the CD containing the software. However this depends on the seller. Some sellers will only have the USB cable which will not be of any help if you do not have the particular software installed on your computer. Nonetheless, it is possible to purchase the cable and the CD separately. Online stores such as eBay and Amazon are bound to have the two products separately and also both other them together. Every OBD2 equipped vehicle is supported by the Ediabas K USB interface. However there are some exceptions such as the vehicles which have both OBD2 and the twenty- pin connector installed. In this case for factory diagnostic, high chances are that the OBD2 connector will not be fully wired and thus you cannot use it for that purpose. The other exception is the F- series vehicles. The problem with these ones is not the connection but rather the software. The software that comes with the USB interface does not support the F- series vehicles. It is highly unlikely that your Beemer will not be supported by this interface cable.
